Bankwest Halo

We've got some handy info to remind you how to use and manage your payment ring. 1

It works just like your cards

We’ve said goodbye to Bankwest Halo – this means it’s no longer available to buy, and we won’t be reissuing or replacing existing rings. If you already have a Bankwest Halo ring, you can continue to use it until it expires. 1

  • The ring uses contactless technology – instead of tapping your card, you make a fist and hold it on the terminal to pay
  • It's linked to one account and can't be transferred to another
  • You can lock it or unlock it in the Bankwest App, so you're covered if you ever lose it.

Does it expire?

If it’s linked to a bank account it’ll expire in 3 years. If it’s linked to a credit card, it’ll expire when the card expires. Remember – if you already have one, we’ll no longer be replacing it once it expires.
